Cooper goes to the Shedd Aquarium!

My parent's, AJ, Cooper & I went to the Shedd Aquarium this week & it was a blast! Cooper had such a good time that he literally fell asleep during the dolphin show, and stayed asleep for a good hour and a half while we ate lunch after the show.

Thanksgiving 2014

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my precious baby boy, his amazing father, and our awesome families. I wouldn't get through the day without their help I am also thankful that Mr. Cooper James has begun crawling as of November 23rd!! He surprised everyone by crawling when we got home from our annual brunch at Drury Lane. It doesn't seem like it'll be long until he's walking though, as he is pulling himself up on EVERYTHING these days.. especially his crib, which scares the crap out of me, as I just envision him cracking his head open on the rail, time to get some rail covers! 

We spent Thanksgiving morning at my parent's house with my sister, nephews and cousins from Texas. In the afternoon we went to AJ's parents house, deep fried a turkey, made AJ's special corn and listened to Cooper cry pretty much the whole day. Lord knows why this boy was so darn cranky, but he was totally in a mood. It probably didn't help that Cooper wouldn't take a nap, hence the super sleepy eyes in the few family pictures we were able to take. He wouldn't let me put him down all day, which was quite a problem when it came time for me to make my appetizers. However, we were very excited because AJ's little brother Alex, who is Cooper's godfather, came home from college for Thanksgiving, so he was able to see (cranky) Cooper for the first time since August! It was the first time we've had all three brothers together in a while, so it was a good time. 

Pretty much sums up how Cooper was the whole day.. Uncle Andrew's face is a perfect depiction of our reactions to Cooper's less than ideal behavior.

Per usual, I abuse my child and make him do hand/foot print art for gifts the holidays.. He was actually quite the trooper this time. Let's see how good he is when I subject him to all of the arts & crafts I have planned for him for Christmas = D

I had a free print from handpressions (this awesome app on my iPad that lets you take a photo of your little one's hand/foot and makes artwork out of it. No paint, no mess, no tears! Pretty nice!!)

First computer crash....

So my beloved MacBook Pro has moved on to laptop Heaven after 6 years of loyal service.. I have just experienced my first computer hard drive crash.. and it was horrible. I was planning on getting a SurfacePro 3 for school and keeping my laptop for papers etc.. but my laptop had other plans. I couldn't stomach getting any other laptop besides an Apple, so I went and dished out another $1,300 for a new MacBook Pro. I lost all of my photos, school work, documents etc. Thank Jesus I had just sent all of my photos of Cooper through to Walgreens an got them all printed and made photo CDs of them all, however, I lost all of my other photos. Thankfully most of them are on Facebook, etc. I just don't feel like going through all of them to re-download them.

7 Months

Happy seven month birthday handsome boy!! You are getting so big. Seriously though, you either need to learn to crawl/walk soon or else you're not going to be able to get around because I won't be able to carry you much longer. Those baby blues still get me, even at 3 am when you're staring at me and won't go back to sleep. You are a wiggle away from crawling, and a step away from walking, so Daddy & I are taking bets on what will happen first! You are a little eating machine & we cannot wait until Thanksgiving when you can have lots of yummy foods! 

Due to us living in Chiberia.. We've had to move our picture taking inside =( 

How old: 7 months

Looks like: Mama's eyes.. Everything else Daddy

Weight: ~20 lbs (Didn't go to the doctor this month)

Height: ~28 inches

Likes: Wearing hats, playing with the dogs and cat, sitting up on his own, eating anything we put in front of him especially sweet potatoes, yams, carrots and apple sauce & rolling around like a crazy boy

Dislikes: Sleeping, putting his arms in anything (shirts, jams, coats.. just screams)

Milestones: Cooper cut his second tooth on November 1st! We have a two tooth wonder! Is doing great with eating purees and other soft foods. Is getting really good at doing the "butt dance" (wobbling on all fours). Still waiting for that first official move though!
