Happy First Father's Day, AJ!

We spent our Father's Day morning with my parents, and then headed over to AJ's parent's house to spend the afternoon and evening with his dad. All in all, Cooper had an awesome day, filled with family & love.

Happy First Father's Day to my amazing guy. You are such am awesome father to our little man, and you can just tell how much he loves you by the smile he gets on his face when you walk in the door. We love you to the moon & back. 

& Of course a Happy Father's Day going out to my Dad, the one who showed me what a real man should be like, the one who protected me all of these years before I found my own protector. I can honestly say the only thing that is better than having you as my dad, is Cooper having you as a grandfather. I cannot wait until he's big enough for you to take fishing & hunting.

Happy two month birthday, Baby Boy! Your scrunchy nose smiles melt our hearts! You are such a sweet boy. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. Thank you for starting to sleep through the night, Little Man, Mama REALLY appreciates it!

Height: 22 ½ inches

Likes: scrunchy nose smiles, being bounced, sleeping in his bassinet and sitting and standing up with someone to hold his hands

Dislikes: tummy time, no one paying attention to him and getting his shots at 8 weeks (not looking forward to these again at 4 months..)

Milestones: can pull himself up to a sitting position & then stand up on his own with someone holding his hands, scrunchy nose smiles (Mama’s favorite), starting to get a lot more vocal and finally slept through the night!

Happy One Month Birthday, Cooper!

Happy one month birthday, my sweet sweet boy. This past month has both flew by and dragged on. I cannot believe that my little baby is one month old already.. It seems like just yesterday I was being walked into the OR to meet him for the very first time. We cannot wait to see what the following months have to offer! Mama & Daddy love you so much, Little Man!

Likes: being bounced.. all the time, car rides, rocking in the chair with Mama, going outside and sleeping with Mama & Daddy

Dislikes: tummy time, sleeping in his bassinet and being buckled in the car seat

Milestones: starting to sleep for longer stretches at night!

First Mother's Day

Well, we survived our second holiday, and made it to both family's celebrations! We started off our day by spending the morning with my family. My sister and nephews came over and we had a mini cook-out. We then proceeded to a late lunch at Drury Lane with AJ's family. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the spread that Drury Lane puts on. We go there every year before Thanksgiving with AJ's family, and it is just so yummy. The buffet is literally mouth-watering. 

I had an amazing first Mother's Day, surrounded by family and my sweet boy. I am truly blessed to be that little boy's Mama. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Happy Mother's Day to all of the mamas out there! 

Proud parent moment: We may have borderlined child abuse this weekend while making our Mother's Day gifts for the grandmas and great grandmas. With me being.. well me.. I decided to wait until the last minute to finish these projects.. which meant that Saturday night we were up until 4 am (Cooper was asleep for most of this madness, even though he was being tortured). Needless to say.. there is no easy way to get a hand/foot print.. especially hand print..with paint from a 1 month old. We gave up on making the flower on the plates out of his hand print after about an hour and a half of trying.. and smeared purple paint over EVERYTHING. However, after many many hours of trial and error.. we finished our gifts & I think they looked pretty sweet! Everyone loved them =)

AJ's Birthday

Well, as if AJ didn't get the best birthday gift ever this year, a beautiful baby boy just days before his birthday, we made sure to surprise him the day before with a cupcake cake, a birthday crown, birthday girl plates, and pin the tail on the donkey... Unfortunately only the cake and plates were put to use, haha. Life is beyond exciting with a 2 week old. Party hard, baby. A big thank you to Auntie Zibba and Uncle Sean for bringing the essentials. We celebrated again with Adam's family the day of with yet more cake, more presents and a well behaved baby boy =)
